     Each pack is used when needed. It is important that the instruments be washed clean and dried immediated after surgery. They are then packed and autoclaved. There is a chemical called virchon which
can also be used to sterilise instruments in cases of emergency and when there is no light for autoclave. It is necessary too that hospitals buy virchon.There is  directive and manul usage clearly written on the container.
